One of the main reason's that families and practitioners fallout centers around a failure to recognise the importance of the insight that families often have into the way in which their son's and daughters with learning disabilities manage themselves and communicate.
In this section we share examples of the things that we know. Our reason for doing this is quite straightforward. We want to share with practitioners the subtlety and complexity of the way in which our sons and daughters express themselves.
Sometimes they will use words in a way that you think are fairly straight forward but are not. Or they may use behaviour that appears baffling but actually isn't.
